About TORVQ
Company
A U.S. Commercial Partner Built for Cross-Border Execution.
TORVQ LLC is based in Chicago and works as the U.S.-side commercial interface for companies operating across borders — closing the gap between a plan made overseas and the work that has to happen locally.
Mission
Why TORVQ exists
Cross-border business rarely stalls on strategy. It stalls on execution: questions that need a local answer, professionals who need to be engaged and coordinated, documents that need an owner, and counterparties who need someone reachable in their time zone.
TORVQ exists to hold that layer. We define the requirements, coordinate qualified professionals and counterparties, run the commercial work, and report back in a single consolidated line — in Japanese for overseas stakeholders, in English toward U.S. parties.
Positioning
Where we sit
Not a consultancy that stops at a report, and not a single-function vendor. TORVQ is the operating interface between the two.
Coordination and professional determination are kept separate by design. We prepare, structure and manage; qualified professionals decide within their own remit.
Work is defined in writing before it begins — scope, responsibilities, reporting and the limits of our authority.
Operating principles
Clarify / Verify / Coordinate / Execute / Report
- 01
Clarify
State the objective, constraints and open questions before proposing anything.
- 02
Verify
Work from primary sources and confirmed facts, not assumptions or general impressions.
- 03
Coordinate
Bring the right parties together and keep information moving between them.
- 04
Execute
Carry the work through to a completed transaction, not a recommendation.
- 05
Report
Report status, open items and decisions in a form stakeholders can act on.
TORVQ coordinates commercial and regulatory workstreams. Final legal, tax, customs and regulatory determinations are made by appropriately qualified professionals and the relevant authorities.
The name
Brand
TORVQ (pronounced torque) combines the idea of torque — the force that moves a business forward — with the idea of sharpening: refining judgement and practice until the work is precise.
